Beginnings

Teena was born in Louisiana the place known for its birth of Dixieland music, jazz and the blues. Along with those southern roots Teena has had humble beginnings one being vocally learning to sing in her church choir. In fact her whole family sang and played together in various groups throughout her childhood.

Teena’s Dad landed a laborers job on the railroad and that track led the family west to California. It has been several years now since Teena launched her singing career in California. Being the 3rd child of 6 siblings she has been deemed the most extroverted of them all.

She landed a place in an international touring group for many, many years and has traveled all over the United States, and parts of New Zealand. She now makes her home living in the Okanagan Valley. You may find her performing in any given jazz venue throughout the valley.
